The secrets in the sauce!

There's brave... and then there's Ghost pepper brave.

Our new menu has the complete range of sauces, to suit all taste buds! From mild to spicy, it all comes down to how you can handle the Scoville scale. The Scoville scale is used in the measurement of the heat of our Chilli peppers. Our spiciest Chilli is the famous 'Ghost Pepper' which is 1,000,000 Scoville units! It adds a crazy kick to our burrito's and other main dishes. Tied is our popular Mango Scorpion. Held the world's hottest pepper record for several years, rated between 1-1.5 million Scoville units. With sweet sauce with a spicy kick, it's the best of both worlds.

Then we swiftly move onto our mild section of the sauces. Kicking it off is the Tomatillo! The fruit itself is not very spicy but it is frequently used to make hot sauces and purees. For example, a green sauce made from fresh tomatillos can be super hot, going up to 110k SV on the Scoville rating scale for peppers. Next up is the smokey chilli BBQ, it's a tone down on the Scoville scale, making it the perfect middle ground.

All time favourites are the coolest of the bunch, with Garlic Crema and Sour cream making a tasty addition! So with our wide range of sauces, which will you decide? Tag us in your burrito combinations on the gram! https://www.instagram.com/elmexicana/
